LSU lands Chavis

News broke yesterday that LSU has agreed to terms with former Tennessee defensive coordinator John Chavis to take over the same position for the Tigers. This is a huge pickup for the Tigers as Chavis consistently had top defenses at UT. LSU had a little luck go their way with "Fat Phil" getting canned. In no way was the defense a part of Phil losing his job as Chavis produced the #4 overall defense in the nation this year. Chavis is also well known for churning out NFL studs such as John Henderson, Albert Haynesworth, and current NFL Rookie of the Year Jerod Mayo to name a few.
