Rebels take Dogs out to the Woodshed!!!

The only time the Mississippi State Bulldogs were standing up on Friday was when they got off the bus. The Ole Miss Rebels ran through, over, around and any other way that they wanted too in front of a crowd of 55,000+ at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. On the opening drive the Rebels scored and would continue to do so in route to a 45-0 massacre. The Rebels offense was able to move the ball with ease against a defense that I felt was pretty aggressive. In addition, the Rebels defense was all over the Bulldog Offense, limiting them to just 37 total yards. While the Dogs were on the field they seemed lifeless, as if they forgot they were playing against there in-state rival for the coveted 'Golden Egg'. The Rebels, on the other hand, were obviously ready for this game and that can be directly attributed to the coaching staff. I am no expert by any sense of the imagination, but I feel this victory was an exclamation point for both sides. For the Rebels, a convincing victory over a rival in there final regular season game to ensure second place in the SEC West, should hopefully seal a trip to Dallas for a bowl. As for the Dogs, this loss could move Coach Croom from the fire to the frying pan, as far as coaches on the hot seat are concerned. The only way to sum up the Ole Miss victory over Mississippi State for Dog fans would be to say, " It was a slow and somber funeral, with the body still warm."
