Grumpy Old Man's Locks of the Week

Last week the college winning continued and we took a split in the pros as Baltimore really sucked it up against the Giants D.

As promised this week is the big SEC Game of the Year……and NO it isn’t Ole Miss. The worst thing that could have happened to us last week did, Ole Miss Won big and LSU tried to loose and couldn’t have looked worse, so the line opens at -6 and is now down to -3.5. Hell Ole Miss might be the favorite by Saturday….All you Ole Miss bettors don’t wait!!

But here is the SEC Game of the Year…….Vanderbilt – 3 over Tennessee . Yes I am aware that Vandy has only beaten Tennessee once in the past 10 years and then it was only by 4. All the pressure is off the Commodores, they are finally going to go bowling and not at Leflore Lanes…..And lets face it Tennessee sucks, I mean my god man, they got beat by Wyoming !

So here are some bonus plays this weekend:

Take the under in the Ole Miss/LSU game, it is now at 54 and you can look for Coach Les (Michigan) Miles and the Nutt to both be conservative and cautious not to get behind early. My heart wants a 59 – 0 Ole Miss win but reality tells me Ole Miss 21-17.

And in the most important game of the week – Saturday night Texas Tech over Oklahoma .
If this a trap, then so be it. I am taking the points and the #2 ranked team in the nation. And most of you know how (and why) I hate the damn Sooner Schooner. Let’s just say there are thousands of reasons to bet against the Okies. Texas Tech 38 Oklahoma 28

And here you go for the Pros…..Thursday night special.
Pittsburgh – 11 over Cincinnati .
Don’t even think about why. This one is easy…….the refs owe all the Pittsburgh betters for last weekend’s debacle and Cincinnati was very busy at the time playing 5 full quarters of football. These Bengals will have the same fate of those inbred Tigger Cajuns on Saturday!
Pittsburg wins easily 28-10.

Grumpy Old Man starts off his picks with a bang

I've got to admit, after 58 minutes of football I was already thinking about how I would bash the grumpy one for starting off 0-1 and making me lose some hard earned cash, but with 2 minutes to go Utah marched 80 yards to take the lead and the eventual win at 13-10. Good job grumpy one. I am sorry for doubting you.

Grumpy Old Man's Locks of the Week

Ok folks, it's time for a new segment called "Grumpy Old Man's Locks of the Week" with our resident Grumpy Old Man, Jimmy Horne. Normally this segment will run on Friday, but for reasons explained below, you get it a little early.

Ok, so last night the Colonel goes 3-0.
Pittsburg + 2.5
Under 37.5
And a 2 team parlay.
Big profits for all.

So I am leaving town for the god forsaken land of Cajuns tomorrow early am and won’t be back until Saturday.

Here are 3 picks for this upcoming weekend, with a little analysis.

Thursday night it’s the Christians of TCU versus the Mormons of Utah .

Do you really think a Horned Frog can out pray a mormon? Believe me they cant, I dated a mormon……just once.
A home dog and some help from above end TCU’s chances of making a BCS game.
Utah wins this strait up, take the points to the bank here!

Alabama at LSU…
This line opened as Alabama a 2.5 point favorite, today (Tuesday) it is already up to 4.
Hmmmmm lets see LSU at home on Saturday getting 4 points against their former head coach, who they hate more than having to take a bath on Sundays and
dating girls they aren’t related to……
As much as my common disdain for the Tiggers……my money is closer than my heart.
Wait until Saturday to take the points in this, it may even go higher.

And in the pros –
Tennessee at Chicago
The Titans try to continue their undefeated run……it ends here today. That’s right, I know who is back for at the helm for the Bears.
And guess what, this will be the first time he can play without any pressure. Take Grossman and the 3 points.
The Tennessee offense will struggle here today and the Bears will win this game outright!
