Now don't get me wrong, I am happier than a pig in shit that LSU won the game, but Les Miles is an idiot or a genius, I can't figure out which one. He is either an idiot who can't figure out what the clock is there for and runs two dives up the middle down 3 on the 36 because he doesn't realize that a 53 yard field goal is not a gimme. Maybe he's a genius who fucks the clock up to confuse the other team and sets up a 53 yard field goal just so he can fake it. Either way you can't say the guy isn't interesting. My only real problem with the guy is his refusal to play Jarrett Lee more. Let's look at the drives for each QB...
Lee drives: 4 TDs & 1 Punt.
JJ's drives: 3 punts, 2 FGs, Interception, Fumble
JJ's drives: 3 punts, 2 FGs, Interception, Fumble
Do I even need to continue? If Jarrett Lee plays the whole game, it's not even close. LSU completely dominated this game but JJ's drives kept stalling and our play calling got conservative as soon as we got a lead and stayed that way until we got behind. If LSU had a decent Offensive Coordinator who realizes run, run, pass... run, run pass is not a game plan and would start and play Lee they would have an average margin of victory of 21 points. Here's to hoping our luck continues.
