Ole Miss vs Kentucky preview

I apologize for my lack of doing this until now. Things have been hectic and my computer is a dinosaur so I don't have as much time available. I do today and am glad to share this with all of you. This game will be the 41st meeting between Ole Miss and Kentucky. The Rebels hold a 26-13-1 lead in the all-time series and have won six of the last eight games played. Ole Miss also holds a 7-2 advantage in games played in Oxfor.

• Kentucky is the Rebels' third-least played SEC opponent only having played Ole Miss more times than Auburn (34) and South Carolina (15).

• The Rebels are 16-15 against SEC East foes dating back to 2000.

• Ole Miss head coach Houston Nutt is just 2-3 all-time versus the Wildcats. However, he did defeat Kentucky 70-63 in an NCAA record-tying seven overtimes in 2003.

• The Rebels are seeking to improve their record to 3-2 on the season. Ole Miss was 3-2 after five games last season before winning five of its next six games.

• Ole Miss has scored 145 points in the first four games of the season, which is the most points the Rebels have scored in their first four games since scoring 162 points in 2003. The Rebels scored 182 points after five games that season
